Take care not to change all the filter media in your Aqua One CF1200 at one time of your aquarium is full of fish as you will also remove the essential filtration bacteria at the same time. New filter media are much more efficient at trapping waste but take a while to become biologically active. We suggest pouring a bottle of Aqua One Bio Starter over new filter media before switching the filter back on as this will introduce a super fit, laboratory bred culture of filtration bacteria directly to where they are most needed.
