Aqua One Media retaining grid for Advance 1050 and 1250 External filter

The Media retaining grid has a very important function in the Advance 1050 and Advance 1250 external filters. It acts to compress the filter media so that water cannot easily bypass it and a great percentage of waste is removed with each pass through the filter. In addition the grid prevents small pieces of biomedia etc being sucked up into the filter and damaging or blocking the fragile impeller unit.
