PL 11 Tubes are compact energy saving fluorescent tubes. Their small size, low heat production and energy efficiency makes them ideal for use in compact aquariums. Aqua One fit them in many of their smaller set ups including the AquaStyle 380, AquaStyle 510, Aqua Start 320, Aqua Start 320T, Aqua Start 500, UFO 350, UFO550, AquaMode 300 and AquaMode 600.
What colour Aqua One PL11s are available?
The Aqua Store PL11 range comprises a single PL11 Sunlight tube which offers a golden sunlight effect.
These are not Aqua One PL11 which have all been discontinued, but are our own specially selected products and are fully compatible in any aquarium lighting system which uses PL11 tubes
How long do Aqua one PL 11 Compact Fluorescent Tubes Last?
All PL tubes, in fact all Fluorescent tubes of all types, lose their output over time with the best performance being given over the first six to eight months. After this fish colours are lost and greater algae growth frequently occurs. We frequently mark the date on the end of the PL tube so we can check and see easily if its time is done.
