Aqua One 167c Carbon Filter cartridge TRIPLE PACK for LifeStyle Classic 72

The Aqua One 167C carbon cartridge is designed for use exclusively in the excellent over head trickle filter fitted to the LifeStyle Classic 72 and LifeStyle 76 aquariums. It is part of Aqua One’s excellent three stage filter that  has been tried and trusted in thousands of aquariums  in the UK for the last twenty or so years.

The 167c forms the first part of the filtration process and traps the majority of solid waste that arrives in the filter via its Polymer fibre layer. The carbon granules then remove dissolved toxins and tannins before the beneficial bacteria cultured on the 167S polymer sponge and the ceramic  Bionoodles  layer get to work dealing with the very toxic Ammonia produced as your fish’s primary waste product.

The 167C does work incredibly hard in most aquariums and is designed to be replaced (not washed out) every month or so. If you have a well stocked aquarium and/or you feed generously, it may be necessary to change the cartridge more often than this. The 167S sponge may be rinsed in a little aquarium water (which is then discarded) and the Bionoodles may be treated in the same way.
